Not just because they might roll away as in the picture above, but your room reservations could cost you more than you bargained for.

What I mean is that your room reservations should always be made with a credit card and paid with one. The reason for that is because nine out of ten hotels have some kind of hold they put on your card where twice the amount is charged, and of course it is refunded later. But putting your debit card on the line is a big no no in room reservations, and I never understood why until I did it.

I had money in my account, but not enough to withstand the slam of the hold they put and so I overdrafted like crazy because I lived my whole weekend there not knowing about being in the negative. Granted my bank took care of it - but you may not be as lucky. And even if you are, do you really want to go through the hassle? Nobody does, so always use your credit card instead of your debit card when doing room reservations.
