One of the hardest things my dad has had to learn is how to do things online. My mom and I are always trying to help him make things simple for him and we are always met with some road block. My dad is the kind of guy who likes to do things on his own, even if they can be done easier. When it came time to make our online reservations for an upcoming family vacation, my father offered to do it.

My mom and I were very nervous about my dad making the online reservations. We knew he was not comfortable using the internet and we worried that he would make online reservations for the wrong day or not at all. My mom volunteered to walk my dad through making online reservations. She was shocked when he produced the tickets and confirmation numbers and handed them to her.

My dad proudly told us that he had been reading up on the internet and that he felt like he was ready to make online reservations. He told us how easy it was and made sure that each of us was emailed a copy. My mom and I were so proud of him! We shared a warm and knowing laugh when he asked why everything on the internet was not as simple as making online reservations.
